Young achiever recognised

Project K Waitakere student Steven Te'o from Kelston Boys High School was recently recognised for his achievements along with eight other students at the Project K Excellence Awards last month.  His was presented with a trophy by Foundation for Youth Development patron, Her Excellency Mrs Susan Satyanand at the Government House event which was attended by over 140 guests and supporters of Project K. 

Steven said this of his time in Project K; "Where would I be if I never had Project K?  To be honest, I don't know.  I wouldn't be the same person if I hadn't done Project K, that's for sure.  This has been a huge thing in my life and I wish to continue the skills I have learnt and use them at home, school, sport and everywhere.  I am glad I took this stepping stone to become the best person I can be."
